Abstract

483,082. Tables. EDWARDS, W. H. W. Oct. 8, 1936, No. 27307. [Classes 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] A reversible - top table or stand has the top A pivoted at the centre of its side edges between two side supports B so as to allow complete rotation, a sliding spring plunger F passing through one side support being adapted to engage one of a circular series of holes E in a plate C fixed to the table top to lock the top in the vertical, horizontal, or intermediate positions. The plate C. carries the pivot pin which engages in a bearing D fixed to the support B and having a flange through which passes the plunger F operated by a knob J. The top may be formed of two or more frames hinged together to give four or more different surfaces. The top may be covered with heat-resisting material for use as a firescreen.
