Abstract
488,462. Spray carburetters. BROKEL, 0., and REINCKE, R. M. Oct. 22, 1937, No. 28943. Convention date, Oct. 22, 1936. Addi. tion to 435,158. [Class 7 (iii)] The carburetter claimed in the parent Specification is modified by replacing the bevelled rib on the capillary or filter body holder 24 by a conical projection and by providing a space 3 above an exchangeable perforated disc 4 bearing against the filter body 2. To vary the face of the filter body 2 exposed to the suction in the mixing-chamber, the disc is exchangeable with other discs having a different number of perforations. A flap valve 11 which partly closes the air inlet 12 is prevented from fluttering by a spring 14 and is opened by suction against the action of a spring 13. The fuel passes through a filter 20 before being admitted, past an electromagnetically controlled valve 21, into the chamber 18 containing the filter body 2, and is delivered into the mixing- chamber through radiating passages 10 above a constriction 8 controlled by a conical needle 9 carried by a piston valve 16.
