Abstract
<PICT:0487091/III/1> Water-distilling apparatus comprises a condenser 14 and a storage vessel 15 for condensed water which together form a unit, and a boiler 11 is detachably mounted on the unit for example by a hook 37 and eye 36. The boiler may be provided with projections 41 to increase its heating surface. Steam passes from the boiler 11 through a pipe 16 to a condensing coil 21. Condensed water flows from the outlet 23 of the coil through funnel 24 to tank 15. Condensing water enters through funnel 26 and leaves chamber 14 through overflow 27 which discharges into a chamber 29 connected to the boiler by pipe 30. The overflow pipe 31 of chamber 29 may lead to waste or to a storage vessel as described in Specification 472,655. The lid 20 of the boiler and pipe 16 rest in water seals.
