[Class 103 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A holder for high-coercivity magnets, particularly meter brake magnets, comprises a rotatable standard against which the magnet rear faces are held by pressure exerted on the front faces, the pressure exerting members being supported upon the standard. The standard 1 of synthetic resin or die-cast material has a base-plate 2 and is adjustable around a set screw in a screwthreaded hole 3, the magnets 5, 6 being held against a front face 4 of the holder. The magnets are secured in position by bars 7 on arms 8 forming part of the holder, riveting or screw means being employed. The arms 8 can be integral with the standard 1 or they can be formed separately and pressed or cast therewith. The holder may be carried on an iron plate located below the part 2.
