484,557. Two - part couplings fitted with fuses. GULLIFORD, A. G. Oct. 20, 1937, No. 28520. [Class 38 (i)] A lamp-holder for a miner's lamp is fitted with a cartridge fuse. In a bayonet type of holder, the fuse 7 is located in a cup-shaped spring-pressed contact 5 and may be as shown between the contact 5 and the lamp contact 9 or between the contact 5 and the top of the spring 6, the casing 3 then being of insulating material. Alternatively, it may be located below the spring adjacent the contact 4 that abuts on the battery terminal. The lower end of the spring casing may be fixed and furnished with an upstanding boss that centres the spring and forms a mounting means.
