The parts are secured together by the cap u which bears against insulating-washers q, p. The lower edge of the cap u is notched at v for engagement by a tool for screwing the cap into position. In a modification, the cap u is dispensed with, and the block a screws directly into the battery casing. the holder n being provided with two projections o, the second one bearing against the washer p and spring arm h. The circuit is made and broken by raising and lowering the battery. Specifications 113,506 and 127,376, [Class 53, Galvanic batteries], are referred to.
