[Classes 80 (i) and 80 (ii)] In the arrangement described in the parent Specification, the planet wheel 11 and the toothed wheels 10, 4 connecting it to the sun wheel 7 are mounted in a single rigid link 12 pivoted about the axis 6 of the sun wheel, so that a " friction-increasing " effect is obtained between the friction gear members 2, 3. In a modification, the wheels 10, 4 are even more offset from the line joining the axes of the wheels 11, 6. In a further modification the gear 4 is connected to the gear 3 by a bevel pair and a worm pair.
