482,848. Fluid - actuated valves. ROYLES, Ltd., and ROYLE, A. G. April 29, 1937, No. 12186. [Class 135] Relates to a pressure-regulating control valve comprising a main valve d operated by a diaphragm or bellows c controlled by a relay valve, not shown, connected to the port h in the bellows chamber b, which is always open to the inlet a<1> of the main valve through a restricted passage f. According to the invention, one side of the diaphragm or bellows is in communication with the other side through the relay valve, and this other side is always in communication through a further passage with the outlet of the main valve. As shown, the space around the bellows c is connected through the relay valve to the port i leading to the interior of the bellows, and this port is connected through a restricted passage k to a port j in the outlet side of the main valve. In a modification, the main valve is a single-beat valve and its stem is a slack fit in its guide, so as to provide a restricted passage for fluid to the chamber b.
