[Class 135] [Also in Group VI] In automatic oxygen supply devices for breathing-apparatus of the kind having a normally open supply 7, 11 supplemented by a normally closed pressure-controlled supply 1, .4, the valve 2 controlling the latter supply is opened by an increase in pressure in the normally open supply line built up in front of a valve 12 closed by a diaphragm 14 forming a wall of a chamber 13 communicating with the outlet 5 leading to the breathing bag, upon a fall of pressure therein below atmospheric. Oxygen from a pressurereducing valve (not shown) continuing to enter at the restricted inlet 7 builds up a pressure in a chamber 8, thus causing a diaphragm 3 to open the spring-closed valve 2, through the system of levers shown. In a modification, the parts are re-arranged so that a hand control with a packing diaphragm may be included to actuate the valve 2 by pressure on the diaphragm 3.
