Abstract

482,196. Sifting-apparatus. SIMONCARVES, Ltd., ADAMS, V. H., MEREDITH, J. W., and EVANS, C. Sept. 21, 1936, No. 25584. [Class 117] A bar screen is mounted on channel beams of I or U section by means of recessed blocks bearing against longitudinal bars of the screen, clamping bolts being provided. In the form shown, the longitudinal bars 5 are held by blocks 13 forced against the beam 11 by clamping bolts 15. The screen is composed of wedge wires 1 wound around transverse rods 2 secured to the bars 5. Two screens may be mounted side by side in a common frame.
