Abstract

1,026,242. Knitting machines. MAYER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. April 30, 1964 [June 14, 1963], No. 17994/64. Heading D1C. A light metal bar 4 for a warp knitting machine is characterized in that it is connected at least at one side with a band or strip or with one or more rods of steel as at 7. The steel strip may be riveted bolted or adhered to the bar and may extend beyond the ends of the bar as in Fig. 2 so that a screw 9 in a member 8 can be tightened to secure the bar relative to the strip. In a further embodiment the bar may be hollow with the steel rods or wires extending through the longitudinal bore thereof.
