Abstract
481,913. Free - wheel clutches. DRIVES, Ltd.,' M. M. Sept. 28, 1936, No. 26269. Convention date, Oct. 4, 1935. [Class 80 (ii)] A clutch between a belt pulley 15, driven from the axle of a railway vehicle, and the armature shaft 25 of a lighting &c. dynamo, which drives and allows overrunning in both directions of rotation, comprises a double-ended ratchettoothed member 29 which is formed on a sleeve 26 secured to the shaft 25 and which is disposed between a pair of ratchet-toothed members 23 and 24 slidable in helical splines formed on the inside of the pulley rim. The members 23,24 are journalled on the sleeve 26 and caps 34, 35 secured to the latter close the ends of the pulley.
