481,452. Cylinders. POUNDER, C. C., MILLER, J., and REBBECK, F. E. Oct. 21, 1936, No. 28576. [Class 7 (ii)] In a four-stroke engine with under-piston compression, the valve-chest 7, containing the suction and delivery valves 14, 15 of the pump chamber 11, is hinged, so that it may be lifted to provide access to the chamber for overhaul of the parts therein, or .adjacent thereto. The chest is preferably mounted on a horizontal hinge 18 and is normally fixed by studs 10, 17, suction and delivery pipes 19, 20 and a drain pipe 8 being attached.
