Abstract

481,086. Wireless apparatus. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Aug. 26, 1937, No. 23425. Convention date, Sept. 19, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] A very high frequency stage assembly comprises a pair of valves 1, 2, Fig. 1, mounted end to end, the grid and anode connectors 4, 3 respectively being connected to the corresponding anode and grid leads 5, 6 of the other valve over neutralizing condensers comprising concentric tubes 7, 8, 9, 10, adjustable by sliding the inner in the outer. The valves are connected in push-pull, the tuned circuit comprising a pair of tubes 11, 12 with adjustable sliding bridge members at each end. The centres of the tubes are connected to the outer cylinders 7, 9 of the neutralizing condensers and are coupled by a condenser 14 constituted by a pair of spaced metal discs. The whole stage is enclosed in a screen 13. As shown in Fig. 2 the stage is intended for coupling on its input side to a master oscillator circuit Mo and on the output side to a load circuit O.
