Abstract
480,428. Centrifugal separators. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. Oct. 25, 1937, No. 29094. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1936. [Class 23] The overflow and drain liquids of a centrifugal separator are discharged together through a common outlet. The overflow from the feed tube 2 of the bowl 1 enters the collecting chamber 3 in the tiltable cover 4 and passes through the channels 5, 6 to the outlet channel 7 from the chamber 9 in the bowl housing. This chamber 9 receives the liquid drained from the bowl through the openings 8. The inner end of the channel 7 is sufficiently close to the axis to prevent undesirable air currents.
