Abstract

480,280. Wringers. KEENE, W. L. M., and MODERN KITCHEN EQUIPMENTS, Ltd. Aug. 21, 1936, No. 23062. [Class 138 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] When not in use the wringer 6 is folded down into a tank 5 housed within a table frame 1. and is covered by a sliding table top 2. The wringer is secured to a bar 7 carried by brackets 8 which pivot about a rod 9 and are provided with extensions 15. A sliding bar having catches to engage the members 15 is carried by the table frame and holds the wringer in the operative position. When the wringer is in use the table cover is supported by U- shaped members 16 secured to its underside and engaging the upwardly-turned ends of the members 15. As the wringer is folded down the table cover rises, a bead 4 on its underside traversing a groove 3 in the side frame of the table. A projection 18 engages under a plate 17 and prevents the table cover from rising, when it is being moved backwardly to uncover the wringer, until after the members 16 engage the members 15, whereupon further movement of the table top raises the wringer.
