Abstract

Folding and collapsable tables; table frames; table tops.-A folding table comprises a frame 3, legs 9 pivoted to the frame, springs 11 coiled about the pivots of the legs and adapted to move the legs 9 to a folding position and yieldingly retain them. The bars of the frame are rabbeted at their inner upper corners and a top 1 is seated in the rabbet, and angle strips 30 permanently connected to the top 1 have pendent portions at the inner side of the frame, detachably connected thereto by beads 32. The legs are moved to the extended position by flexible steel strips 17 passing round rollers which are rotated by means of a lever 21 flexibly connected to the rollers 16 and extending through a slot 20 in the table frame. The legs are retained in the extended position by a movable latch 25 on the frame which detachably engages the lever.
