Abstract

299,578. Barefoot, R. V. A. Sept. 19, 1927. Folding tables.-In a folding table of the kind with rule-jointed frame sides 6, the underside of the top is provided with strips 2 forming a square or rectangular enclosure for receiving the upper edges of the frame. The top and frame are held together by a bar 9 pivoted centrally to the underside of the table and engaging with grooves 11 in the frame. The movements of the bar 9 are limited by stops 12. If the table top is baizecovered, the strips 2 may serve to keep the baize in place.
