478,743. Spreader for seeds &c. LOW, C. F. G. July 30, 1936, No. 21055. [Class 18] A device for distributing seeds or granular or powdered substances, e.g. grass seeds, lime, or fertilizer, comprises an open-ended vessel 5 having cross-bars 6 through which passes loosely a rod 3 secured to a base 1 by nuts 4 and supporting the vessel 5 by means of a nut 7 and washer 8, adjustable vertically by means of a radial bar 9 so that the spacing of the end 1 from the open end of the vessel may be varied. The device is carried from a handle 3, which may be oscillated to distribute the contents, the vessel being inhibited from rotation by its inertia.
