Abstract
828,413. Fertilizer distributers. LANDBOUWWERKTUIGEN-EN MACHINEFABRIEK H. VISSERS N.V. July 15, 1958 [Aug. 14, 1957], No. 22632/58. Class 6(1). A fertiliser distributer comprises a bowl 5 provided with a spout 6 extending in a rearward direction and having discharge openings 7, 8, the bowl 5 and spout 6 being reciprocated from side to side. The bowl is situated below a hopper 1 and material is fed to the bowl through openings 11 in discs 9, 10. The disc 10 is adjustable relative to the disc 9 to vary the size of the openings 11. According to the invention a disc 12 is provided which is spaced above the discs 9, 10 the disc 12 being so shaped that it covers the openings 11 to prevent material filling the bowl when it is stationary. In use the disc 12 breaks up lumps in the fertiliser.
