Abstract
472,337. Miners' safety-lamp burners. HAILWOOD, E. A. April 30, 1936, No. 12299. Addition to 434,812. [Classes 75 (i) and 75 (ii)] In the miner's safety lamp according to the parent Specification, a readily detachable spring clip and knob connection is provided between the movable dome or part thereof and the operating rod R. Fig. 1 shows a construction in which the movable part D of the dome carries a double-armed spring clip C adapted to engage in a recessed portion R<2> between the main part of the rod R and a knob R<1> on the upper end thereof. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the clip C is of inverted form, while Fig. 5 illustrates the detachable connection as applied to a one-piece dome D having a sleeve D<4> slidable on the burner tube B. The clip may be mounted on the rod and the knob on the dome.
