[Class 97 (i)] A photographic objective 3, 4, 5 of any standard form is combined with a lens system consisting of a number of divergent elements mounted substantially in contact with one another at a distance in front of the objective and coaxial therewith. As shown the divergent elements comprise two similar meniscus lenses 1, 2 with their concave surfaces towards the objective.
