Abstract

477,424. Lenses. WARMISHAM, A., and KAPELLA, Ltd. July 31, 1936, No. 21178. [Class 97 (i)] An objective for photographic and like purposes comprises two convergent components in front of, and a third convergent component behind an asymmetrical double concave component in which the radius of curvature of the shallow side is at least ten times that of the other. Every component is a simple lens and the mean refractive index of the divergent component is substantially greater than 1À65. Preferably, the glass of the rear convergent component has a mean refractive index greater than 1À62 and an AbbÚ number less than 50. Specification 408,787 is referred to.
