Class 97(1) In a wide-aperture objective with anastigmatic flattening of the field the combination in front of the stop space consists of a front meniscus convex to the front and two further components each consisting of a pair of simple meniscus elements, of opposite sign, both convex to the front, while the rear combination consists of two components, that adjacent the stop space being a negative meniscus concave to the front while the rear component has unequally curved surfaces of which at least the rearmost is concave to the front. Data are given for one example of aperture f/1.5.
