470,907. Ships' forms. ENGELMANN, R. Jan. 20, 1936, No. 10637/37. Divided out of and addition to 455,466, under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 20, 1936. [Class 113 (ii)] A ship's form as described in the parent Specification is modified to improve water flow conditions by forming ir the under-water hull for ward of the super structure e, a recess h which extends transverse ly of the hull as in. dicated at i. The recess merges forward and aft the forward end of the superstructure in the general contour of the otherwise fusiform underwater hull. Alternatively, a bulge k is formed forward of the superstructure. The superstructure is provided with lateral fins 14, Fig. 9, which run in an easy downwardly-directed curve from the forward part of the superstructure.
