Abstract

469,860. Wireless transmitting systems. WIRED RADIO, Inc. Aug. 18, 1936, No. 22709. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1935. [Class 40 (v)] In a floating carrier system the modulating stage consists of a pair of screened pentode valves 5, 6 connected in balanced push-pull, the input carrier h.f. being applied to a balanced circuit 3, 4, between the control grids and the cathodes of the valves 5, 6, modulating potentials being connected to suppressor electrodes 11, 12, and rectified modulating potentials of syllabic form to the screen electrodes. An audio-frequency source 24 supplies modulating potentials through a transformer 14 and also through a transformer 26 and amplifier 29 to a full wave rectifier 10 the output from which is applied to the screen electrodes of the modulating valve stage. A condenser 9 shunts the output of the rectifier 10. Balanced output is taken from a transformer 19 to a load 22.
