Abstract
483,229. Valve amplifying circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and DUNHAM, C. R. Oct. 9, 1936, Nos. 27445/36 and 19767 /37. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] A thermionic amplifier comprises a variablemu triode 10 whose grid circuit is supplied with constant A.C. through a transformer 14 and with the input D.C. to be amplified or relayed at terminals 1, 2, the output of modulated A.C. from a transformer 16 being rectified and smoothed. A rectifier 11 and battery 12 in the grid circuit are arranged so that the grid bias cannot exceed a predetermined maximum, excess voltages being byepassed by the rectifier. Specification 323,823, [Class 40 (v)], is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptrolller to Specifications 413,081 and 433,967, [both in Group XXXV].
