466,790. Cathode-ray tubes. FERNSEH AKT.-GES. Dec. 4, 1935, No. 33595. Convention date, Dec. 4, 1934. [Class 39 (i)] A pair of electrodes are maintained at a common constant potential and are located adjacent a pair of deflecting plates in such manner that one edge of each electrode is parallel with and adjacent the edge of a deflecting plate. A disc 5 supports a pair of electrodes 7, which are adjacent to the deflecting plates 1 and also supports a tubular electrode 15, which is arranged adjacent the terminating electrode 16, or alternatively forms the terminating electrode, of the focusing and concentrating system. A disc 6 supports further pairs of electrodes 9, 12. arranged adjacent the pairs of deflecting plates 1, 4 respectively and another pair 14 is arranged close to the plates 4. The pairs of electrodes may be at different potentials. Slots are provided in the discs for the passage of the beam.
