466,736. Stuffing - box packing. HUHN, G. June 24, 1936, No. 17547. Convention date, June 24, 1935. [Class 122 (v)] A packing-ring of metal, graphite, &c. comprises two wedge segments a and two bridge segments b surrounded by a spring i and each bridge segment being provided with one or more projections f, g adapted to bear on the spindle &c. to be packed. The contraction due to wear of the segments is limited to that permitted by the spaces d between the segments a and projections f g. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 12527/07, [Class 122], and 170,000, [Class 122 (v)].
