Abstract

327,208. Hemmingsen, T. V. Jan. 9, 1929. Piston packing.-Packing comprises two or more rings, each composed of two or more segments. Each segment has at the middle a lateral flange d engaged by the recessed and outwardly-springing ends 'of the segments a<1>, a<2> of the adjacent ring. Dissassembly of the packing is prevented by a hook engagement e between the flanges d and the ends of the segments.
