408,870. Stuffing - box packing. BRIER, J. H., 102, Princes Road, Dartford, Kent. Sept. 12, 1933, No. 25266. [Class 122 (v).] A packing-ring A, of metal or alloy for use in stuffing-boxes is of dished or conical form with the edges C, D, E, F, shaped as in Fig. 1. A number of such rings are adapted for use as in Fig. 2, in conjunction with a gland nut of conical form, the shaped edges leaving grooves H in which oil may collect.
