Abstract

464,614. Flyer frame driving-arrangements. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE. Sept. 1, 1936, No. 23948. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1935. [Class 120 (ii)] In electrically driven flyer frames the motor 1 is arranged within the framework beneath the roller beam 2 and adjacent to the cone-belt mechanism, the drive being transmitted to an extension of the main shaft 16 towards the spindles. The drive may be transmitted by belt or chain ; as shown a belt 13 is connected to fast and loose pulleys, the motor being pivotally mounted in a bearing 5 and controlled by adjustable springs 7, 8 engaging a fork 6 on the casing, whereby smooth starting is ensured ; alternatively, a tension roller, such as that known under the trade name Lenix, is temporarily retracted from the belt by means connected with the switch gear.
