Abstract
355,918. Flyer driving arrangements. LOW & CO., Ltd., J. F. and HARGROVE, J., Monifieth Foundry, Monifieth, Angus. Aug. 5, 1930, No. 23392. [Class 120 (ii).] Each flyer in twisting and like textile frames is driven from a single pulley adapted to be clutched to and declutched from the main operating shaft. The flyer 1 is driven by an endless cord 2 from a single pulley 3 mounted loosely on the shaft 4. A spring-loaded clutch member 6 is splined to the driving shaft 4 and normally transmits the drive to the pulley 3. To stop the drive, the lever 5 is moved in the direction of the arrow, this causes the crank 16 to rotate the shaft 13, whereby the arms 12 separate the clutch member 6 from the pulley 3.
