464,414. Reversing-gearing. FEAVYEAR, G., and MUIR, J. Oct. 16, 1935, No. 28651. [Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Groups XIX and XXXVI] Gearing for converting rotation in either direction into unidirectional rotation comprises two one-way clutches of the cam-and-roller type. The device is incorporated in the driving connection to the counter of an electricity meter. The meter mechanism drives a pinion 12 on a shaft 11 connected by gearing 13, 14, 16, 17 to a shaft 18 on which is a pinion 19 engaging a gear 22 in the hub of which is a one-way clutch comprising rollers 29. Normally, this clutch drives the shaft 6. The pinion 19 also engages a pinion 21 gearing with a gear 23 provided with a similar one-way clutch 28. If the drive to the meter is reversed, this clutch 28 drives the shaft 6 in the normal direction.
