464,071. Draught - excluders. GRETENER, M. July 14, 1936, No. 19550. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1935. [Class 20 (iii)] A device for sealing the meeting edges of doors or windows and their frames against draught and leakage of gases consists of a flexible strip 6 anchored in an undercut recess in the frame 4, or in a fillet 7 thereon, and engaging a rubber or like elastic pad 8 on the sash 2. The device is situated in the space 5 formed by the rabbeted meeting edges of the sash and frame. The fillet 7 or the metal backing of the pad 8 is sealed by plastic material to its support. The backing for the pad 8 may be a frame or separate bars.
