Abstract

The draught excluding band (6) for use between temporarily abutting faces of door or window (2) and frame (1) is of elastic material, pref. metal sheet, and of V section. One external face (8) of the V is fixed to say a vertical edge of a frame (1) and the free leg (10) presses against the adjacent panel (2) edge (4) when the door closes. Pref. the material is aluminium sheet and the section can be used in the opposed sense with the free leg (10) opening rather than closing the angle of the V as the door closes. The section is externally lined with rubber in order that it deforms to follow irregularities in the panel edge and the fixed face has a release sheet covered adhesive layer (11).
