Abstract

The sealing strip (3) with temporary protective hood (4), is for use on timber components window or door frames and affords seal protection during timber painting. The sealing has a hood which connects the seal base viz a necked portion (5) which forms a rupture line for the eventual removal of the hood. Pref the seal (3) is of the type consisting of a web projecting normally from the timber surface, and the hood (4) is of 'U' or 'V' section defining a cavity enclosing the seal. The sealing strip (3) has a base portion (2) with projections for retaining it in a channel.
