Abstract
462,928. Lined cartons. NAYLOR, W. H., and DAY & SONS, Ltd., J. Feb. 25, 1936, No. 5628. [Class 18] A lined carton, e.g. for granular &c. material is closed by first arranging the mouth E of the lining as shown in Fig. 2 or as shown in Fig. 6, then laying the mouth on flap C as shown in Fig. 8, next folding in flaps A, B and finally folding in flaps C, D, either of which can be folded first, so that the bag mouth of the lining is interlocked with the flaps. Any or all of the flaps may be secured by adhesive. The arrangement may be the same at both ends or the lining may be in the form of a bag. The sequence of folding the flaps may be altered provided that the mouth of the lining when turned over one flap is then turned back on itself over a previously folded flap so that its mouth is not only folded but is also enclosed between the flaps.
