Abstract
349,034. Cartons for cigarettes &c. WOODS, Ltd., W. H. J., Derby Street, Preston, and BROWN, H. W., Wellesley House, Chorley New Road, Heaton, Bolton. Feb. 19, 1930, No. 5603. [Class 18.] A carton for cigarettes &c. of the kind comprising two pockets 10 hingedly connected together and overlying one another when the carton is closed and with the mouth of each pocket deepened on one broad side 13 thereof, has a single tongue 21 which overlies or fits in the sides of both deepened pocket mouths when the carton is closed. The carton may be made from one or three blanks and, as shown, each pocket comprises a tongue section which h sections are united to form the tongue 21; the pockets may be provided with integral partitions 22. The broad sides 16 of the pockets are free from the side walls 15 at the open ends of the pockets to form hinged flaps 17 which; when folded back, expose the ends of the cigarettes &c. to view.
