Abstract

462,338. Penstock valves. HARTLEY, E. Sept. 24, 1935, No. 26397. [Class 68(ii)] A penstock or like sliding valve 10 is operated by a non- rotatable spindle 13 on which is fitted a nut 19 rotated by a cylindrical device 21 resembling a box spanner. The end of the device 21 is fitted in a thrust bearing 23. Provision is made for lubrication. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 132,990, [Class 136].
