[Class 135] [Also in Group XXII] A valve casing of the kind made from a solid drop stamping with flanges produced to recognized standard dimensions has spigots upon its flanges made as separate units butt welded to the flanges. In the form shown, the tapered spigot has a cylindrical part welded in a recess in the flange. A cylindrical or tapered spigot may however be welded to the end face of the flange.
