461,037. Spraying-apparatus; valves. PURSER, Ltd., G. & W., and HUGHES, A. L. Jan. 8, 1936, No. 623. [Classes 69 (iii) and 135] The lance a, Fig. 1, of a spraying apparatus is provided at its outer end with a fixed hand grip a and at its inner end with a valved inlet incorporating a rotatable sleeve l which controls the valve and also serves as a second-hand grip. The rotatable sleeve l, Fig. 4, has on its inner surface a cam m which engages the head n of a valve plunger which is normally closed by the pressure of the water. A flat part m<1> of the cam surface holds the valve in the opened position. The spray head is attached by a union d to the lance with or without an angle bend e.
