212,850. BrazzÓ, A. di. Nov. 14, 1923. Machine guns.-Relates to guns in which the barrel is screwed into the breech body. The usual fixed collar or shoulder on the barrel is replaced by a lock-nut 3, so that the position of the end of the barrel relatively to the breech body can be adjusted. The lock-nut may be provided with a projecting arm 10, Fig. 4, to facilitate the tightening operation, the arm being lodged in a recess in the stock. The arm is adapted to be struck by a small copper hammer which may be combined with the cleaning-rod. To ensure correct assembling, the end of the barrel may be formed with a shoulder 15, Fig. 11, adapted to engage a stop-screw 16, Fig. 12, on the breech body.
