Adapting for miniature-ammunition.-A lining tube b is secured by an eccentric split ring e at the breech end and a nut at the muzzle. The ring e is mounted in an eccentric groove in the tube b and can be rotated so that it is either flush with the outside of the tube, to enable the tube to be inserted in the muzzle of the barrel a, or projecting, as shown in Fig. 2, to engage a shoulder c in the barrel bore
