496,237. Stuffing- boxes. ROBINSON, R. L. W. May 28, 1937, No. 14833. Convention date, Sept. 22,1936. [Class 122(v)] [Also in Group XXVIII] In a spray pump of the knapsack type, the pump rod 6 passes through two stuffing-boxes 13, 12 separated by a drain chamber 9, which is connected by a pipe 10 to the reservoir 2. The stuffing-box 13 is in the form of a plug screwing into the end of the pump barrel, while the chamber 9 is formed by a cap clamped on to the end of the barrel by a union 15.
