Abstract

460,321. Pistons. W. P. (LYMINGTON), Ltd., and HOWLETT, J. W. Oct. 31, 1935, No. 30070. [Class 122 (i)] In pistons of the kind described in Specifications 366,625 and 426,190, in which the skirt thrust faces are connected to the bosses by curved webs 17, the skirt being otherwise separated from the bosses and head which are connected by webs, the bosses terminate short of the cylindrical skirt which is provided with holes 19 only of sufficient diameter for the gudgeon pin to be inserted. Longitudinal slits 20 in the skirt pass through the holes 19.
