430,052. Pistons. SKODA WORKS, PLZEN, 37N, Jungmannova, Prague. April 3, 1934, No. 10089. Convention date, April 19, 1933. [Class 122 (i)] In a piston having a split skirt separated frim the piston head, the halves of the skirt 11, 12, being separated by slits 10 below the gudgeon pin bosses and each half being connected to the piston head 1 by a connecting strut 4 carrying one of the gudgeon pin bosses, the connecting struts are arranged so that they cross one another as seen in the direction of the gudgeon pin axis and each strut engages by one end one skirt-half substantially below the gudgeon pin boss. The skirt-halves may be strengthened by spirally extending ribs 13.
