Abstract

458,913. Separating oil from air &c. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR, 8, Fleming- gatan, Stockholm. July 24, 1936, No. 20529. Convention date, Nov. 5, 1935. [Class 123 (iii)] Compressed air, &c. carrying oil is forced through a coiled wire spring 4, which opens out under the pressure-forming slits ; the air &c. which has passed through the slits deposits the oil in a pocket 8 and a passage 9 closed by a plate spring 11 allows the oil to pass back when the flow of air &c. is stopped. The end of the spring is closed by a plate 5, or the spring may be of conical form. As the surfaces of the slits become coated, the air &c. pressure causes the coils to separate more widely.
