Centrifugal gas cleaners.-The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also an air purifier which consists of a helicoidal chamber, the inlet to which faces in the direction of motion of a vehicle, the heavier dust being projected on to the outer wall, and the finer dust being separated by a spiral of metal, felt or cardboard, corrugated, slotted at the edges and soaked in oil, grease, glue, gum or the like. The dust is discharged through a lower orifice. A device for increasing the air pressure consists of a number of coaxial converging and diverging rings, the inlets to which face in the direction of travel. The two devices last mentioned may be combined. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
