Abstract
457,007. Kinematograph apparatus. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. May 1, 1936, No. 12436. Convention date, Oct. 7, 1935. [Class 97 (i)] In film magazines having locking means for preventing rotation of the supply spool and a movable cover for the film aperture, the cover being provided with an extension or attachment extending over the locking means and rendering it operative when the cover is closed, the extension operates automatically by a cam action, as the cover is closed, to actuate the locking means ; the automatic operation may be effected by a projection from the magazine over which the extension moves as the cover is moved. As shown, the locking means comprises a pin 10 pressed into a diametrical groove 3a in the core 3 of the supply spool against the action of a spring 11. The pressure is effected by an extension Set of a cover 8 slidable over a film aperture 7 ; a projection 12, provided on a removable side 2 of the magazine and having inclined ends 12a, 12b, causes the extension 8a to descend upon the pin 10 as the cover 8 is closed and to move it into locking position.
